!! Goalkeeping Coaching Award Level 1 in March 2016 !!

Dorset FA are running a goalkeeping Coaching Award level 1 in March which Robbie is tutoring. It's a good technical course for the first run on the ladder to Gk coaching. The course is over 3 days. 

Saturday 12th March

Sunday 13th March

Sunday 20th March

The course is being held at Dorchester Sports Centre on the 3G. 

• Minimum Age: 16
• Course Duration: Minimum of 18 hours 
• Course Prerequisites: In date FA Emergency Aid Certificate and In date FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
• Who is it for: This course is open to all coaches who are interested in goalkeeping and wish to enhance their knowledge of a number of goalkeeping techniques.
• Course aims and objectives: This FA Goalkeeping Award will provide candidates with the ability to organise and develop the key aspects related to basic individual techniques. It will provide the candidate with clear guidance on the preparation and planning required to progress the technical practices in a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Leading to: The FA Goalkeeping Coaching Certificate (Level 2)

Course Content: 

The practical elements of the course will provide candidates with the following elements:

• Specific goalkeeping warm ups and cool downs
• Coaching basic individual techniques including footwork, the set position, handling techniques, diving saves (catching/deflecting/parrying), dealing 1 v1 situations and crosses
• Understanding how to develop and improve the Goalkeepers' technique
• Planning and preparing progressive technical practices
• Maintaining the health and safety of the players and other coaches
• Maintaining the high standards of conduct to promote Association Football

!! Christmas present for all Gks attending this coming week 14th & 18th !!!

Hi Everyone

With Christmas just around the corner & Monday 14th & Friday 18th December being our last sessions before Christmas. Every goalkeeper who attends the sessions on these dates will receive a Christmas present from BTS. Only one gift per GK per week. All Gks must wear a Santa hat or a fun hat!!!! 

We return back coaching Monday 4th & Friday 8th January 2016.

It is with great pleasure that we have now teamed up with MJM sports to supply all goalkeeping clothing & gear exclusively to BTS. All the coaching gear which all our coaches wear on training nights can now be purchased from MJM sports via our web shop. At the moment the link between our web site and MJM sports web site is not live but, you can go to MJM sports web site & go to on line shop and click on BTS icon. There you can click on any item order your size pay and it will be sent to you! How easy is that.
