Everyone at BTS would like to wish all our Goalkeepers, families & friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It’s been a great 2017 for many of our gks achieving many height in their football journey. We are back Coaching /training on Friday 5th January 2018.

Well the season is almost over for most of you, and by all accounts there have been some great results. Please feel freee to post anything on the Between the Sticks Facebook page so you can let us all know how you have got on. The coaches love to see the results of their coaching and your hard work.

The Easter opening times are as follows

Monday 10th April – OPEN

Good Friday14th April - CLOSED

Easter Monday - 17th April – CLOSED

Friday 21st April - OPEN

We will also be closed on all the Bank Holiday Mondays in May and August.

After Easter we will be launching a loyalty scheme -

If you come to 6 x Monday sessions in a row - you will get the 7th FREE.

If you come to 6 x Friday sessions in a row you get the 7th FREE

!! Between the Sticks CPD Evening a great success !!

Last night Between the Sticks were delighted to be host a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) evening at the Vitality Stadium home of AFC Bournemouth.
The session was class roomed based and was delivered by Antony White AFC Bournemouth Assistant 1st team Goalkeeping coach & Goalkeeping specific sports scientist.
This event was attended by 22 coaches invited by BTS with a wide range of experience from grass roots through to the pro game. The theme of the night was looking into the science behind Goalkeeping and the modern day trends of Goalkeeping with the AFC Bournemouth gks. I would personally like to thank Mossy & AFC Bournemouth for helping me organise this event and Ant for a fantastic delivery and insight into the top flight training with professional gks. Great evening had by all. Attached are some photos of the night.

!! No Coaching Monday 13th February!!

Hi Everyone.
Just a quick reminder that we will not be open on Monday 13th February. This is due to AFC Bournemouth playing Manchester City in the Premiership. Most of Between the Sticks staff work for AFC Bournemouth or are associated with the club. We all look forward to seeing you all on Friday 17th.

!! Opening times over Xmas period !!

Hi Everyone

Between the Sticks last coaching session before the Christmas break is Friday 16th December. 

We reopen & back after the Christmas holidays on Friday 6th January 2017.

!! BTS coaching during half term !!

Hi Everyone. 

Just a quick reminder that BTS will be open  and coaching as normal during the half term holiday

!! Between the Sticks coaching now on Wednesday evenings !!

Between the Sticks are happy to announce that from October we will be delivering private sessions every Wednesday night at Lytchet Minster School 4G from 7pm to 8pm and Semi-Pro sessions from 8pm to 9-30pm. If you would like more information relating any of these sessions places contact Julie or Robbie.
This is a great opportunity for goalkeepers to have the flexibility to pick 3 different evenings for their private sessions.

BTS Starting Wednsday session from October

Hi Everyone.
Between the Sticks during the summer did Semi-pro session on a Wednesday night over two months. These were very successful. Robbie & Gaz delivered the sessions. With this in mind BTS will now start these sessions on Wednesday nights At the new 4G at Lytchet Minster School from October 8pm to 9.30pm these sessions are ONLY available to Adult level from Dorset Premier League & above.   If you are interested in reserving a space or require any further information please contact Robbie or Gaz. These sessions were very popular so early booking is recommend.

!! Guest coaches at BTS !!

It was great to have two guest coaches tonight at BTS Callum Stanton & Patrick O'Flaherty from AFC Bournemouth. They both really enjoyed the experience working with grass roots gks. A quick selfie with the BTS Team after the sessions. Robbie Yates, Andy Fletcher, Gareth Stewart and Jordan Seabright with Callum and Pat.

!! England v Iceland !!

Hi Everyone. 

Hope you are all keeping well. With the Euro's football tournament hotting up England now are playing on Monday 27th at 8pm. This now collides with Between the Sticks training. So with this in mind we have decided to Cancel our group training sessions 7pm to 9pm. With many goalkeepers & parents wanting to watch the game we felt this was the best way forward now everyone can watch the game. Without missing training session. Sorry for the inconvenience.

!! Between the sticks at Rossgarth Tournament !!

Each year Rossgarth Youth Football club hold an annual 6-a-side tournament in June 2016. 

 

The tournament is well known to be one of the best tournaments in the area. Each year we teams enter from several counties. Between the Sticks are happy to announce that Wevwill be supporting the event on Saturday 18th June. Come on down to see the coaching team & have some goalie fun.

!! Semi-pro sessions available in June & July !!

Hi everyone. BTS will be running Semi-pro sessions during the month of June & July on Wednesday evenings at Canford 3G 8pm till 9pm. ( Times may vary)Numbers are limited & these a filling up all ready.  Gareth Stewart will be heading the sessions with Robbie Yates & Stewart Kearns. These sessions are based on Gks at a higher level of football to assist in their pre session build up. If you would like to book a place please contact Gaz on 07837 608249.

With the season being so great!! For Poole Town Nick Hutchings our Goalkeeper at Poole Town is in the running for Non League paper goalkeeper of the year award. Southern League Champions with 25 clean sheets 7 cleans sheets on the bounce what a great defensive record best in country.
